PHOTO GALLERY About Joshua Tree Joshua Tree was founded in the summer of 2004 by Joshua Shay Kyae. It was started with all of the same philosophies, intentions and ideas that we uphold today. Joshua Tree was created for several reasons: to provide the Athens, Ohio community with the highest-quality workmanship, design and expertise in the green industry, and to imagine and manifest a sustainable, healthy business rooted in our community. Our Philosophy It is our constant goal at Joshua Tree to positively affect our local and world community through professional, artistic landscape design and construction. We create with the next seven generations in mind, building and planting with integrity while creating spaces that last lifetimes. The gardens and landscapes we design are woven holistically as complete ecosystems from the soil up. We listen to and observe the areas we are working in and let the space help direct our creations. Joshua Tree utilizes the full range of site-appropriate plants that thrive in our diverse zone six. We are educated about the negative effects of invasive species and choose not to employ them in our designs. We use locally-harvested (naturally rot-resistant) wood for our outdoor applications.
